I can say that the artist on this project is Eric Canete. Yes sir, Canete and Tsuei are back together again. For those that don't follow our blogs, we put together a short 4 page Street Fighter story together and pitched it to the good people at Udon. Unfortunately they passed on the backup story. This time we're doing a full length book, in fact it's more than a standard American comic book, it's 44 pages.
We have a publisher overseas that's interested in publishing us and we've also had some response from an American publisher. So we're both very excited and hopefully sometime in the very near future I can become smart enough to figure out how to talk about the project without being so paranoid about idea theft.
But along the Street Fighter and Udon lines, Alvin Lee is going to be doing a fill in issue of Gen 13 written by Gail Simone. You can find Gail talking about the book here. I've gone ahead and reposted the preview art.

I personally think Alvin is underrated as a comic book artist. I think some that has to do with the backlash towards Japanese inspired art/comics in American comics, which I find rather ridiculous. Anyway, these pages feel really fresh and inspired to me and frankly better than what he's been doing in SFII. No offense to Talent Caldwell, but if you're reading this Gail, I think Alvin would be a great regular artist on the title.

So much goodness here! I have to admit that I wasn't familiar with these two artists, but I totally want to know more about them! Alvin Lee's art on Gen 13 is awesome. I can't wait for that issue to come out!
PS - So curious about your project!
