So I just checked my voicemail and my friend Bakie left me a message saying, "Hey, when you're down in L.A. and meeting people, pursuing your career, keep asking yourself what the reasons are for you being down there. What is it about the steps you're taking that feel right?"
As I was listening to his message I felt a bit of a warm spot. It's nice to know there are people out there thinking about you and cheering you on.
He went on to say, "The more you ask yourself these questions, the more likely you are to find those answers. I just wanted to share this with someone who's following their dream."
Feelings of doubt are always there. I wonder if this is the right step, if I'm a good enough writer, if I have the work ethic to succeed. I'm sure some of these insecurities will loosen their grip once I start making strides. I'm excited and terrified at the same time, but I feel encouraged as well.
