LA to SF to NY

So I spent the weekend in LA to attend the Dink and Draw release party and look for potential employment. The event was very cool, as well as very loud and very drunk. Thanks to Eric for driving my ass around all weekend and putting up with me.

Speaking of Eric, he's posted about his new sketchbook, entitled Halogen: Halo, set to debut at the NYCC. I'll be there with him at his artist alley table pimping his wares. If you happen to be at the show please stop by and say hello.

This sketchbook is going to be pretty sweet. Aside from all the cool color images that Eric's been cranking out lately, some of his character designs for our project will also be included. So you'll not only be getting some Eric Canete goodness, but you'll also get a sneak preview of our book. Awesome you say? I would have to agree.

My plan is to have the final, final draft of the story done by the big show in NY. I'm stuck on the ending. What I have now is good, but I want it to be great. It needs that punch to the gut that makes the reader go, "Oh shit, what a fantastic ride!" I don't want my words to play second fiddle to Mr. Canete's sweet art. That's a lot to live up to, but when the book sees print, I want to be able to say I really gave it my all.

So I'm going to get back to revising the script. 7 days till I leave for NY! See you there!

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm not at liberty to say who, but there is a European publisher interested in the project Eric and I are putting together.

If all goes well with them then it might not be too hard to get your hands on our book.
