So the year is coming to a close and I have to say that 2006 was a pretty good year for me. I think this year was a major turning point for me in terms of my writing career. First of all deciding to pursue a writing career and taking the necessary steps in that direction, such as the pitch to Udon.I've also written my 44 page script for an creator owned comic. I'm still in the revision process and that's coming along nicely. I think I'm pretty close to a final draft. I've also decided to move down to LA next year to work, live and further pursue my writing career. LA is a strange place and it's really easy to get sucked into the Hollywood lifestyle. I hope I stay focused and bust my ass writing.
But the biggest news of 2006 would have to be the birth of my sister's baby boy, Sebastian, who is pictured up above. I think one of the biggest sacrifices I'm making as I move to LA is not being in near my family, but I know Sebastian will get a lot of love. I just wish I could see him more often while I'm in LA. But I'll make it up to him one day by writing stories for him.
This next year is going to be exciting. A lot of conventions to attend to try and find an American publisher for the comic. I also plan on doing lots of writing and living on my own (if you call living in someone's house for discounted rent living on your own) is going to be an adventure.
Big changes to come and I'm excited for 2007.
