SDCC Swag

Those who know me know that I love Alvin Lee's art. I think he's a highly underrated artist that gets lumped in with other artists that are Manga/Anime influenced. However, the fluidity and movement that is present in his pages is definitely superior to many artists working in the American comic book industry. So any chance I get to pimp his art, I try and do so. Let the pimp-age ensue.

I was over at Street Fighter Devotion and saw that Udon has some cool new swag for SDCC this year. One of which is their ever popular sketchbooks (buy one of these and get a custom sketch by your favorite Udon artist). The other is a cool oversized hardcover collecting all of Udon's first Street Fighter series, including all the backup stories. According to their site, this new hardcover is limited to only 500 pieces. I hope my wallet can handle it.

Udon's booth is usually packed with rabid fans buying up posters, waiting for sketches and whatever else they have in store each year. My favorite part is watching guys like Alvin Lee and Omar Dogan draw. Watching the socially inept try to strike up conversation with their favorite creator is also pretty entertaining. Awkward, but entertaining.

Hit up the link and see what Udon has to offer this year. Udon Swag 2006
