Back It Up

In preparation for San Diego I'm going to have one last back up story script for the people of Udon. This last one features Oro of Street Fighter 3 and Gen from Street Fighter Alpha.

As far as I know, the two have never met in the games or any other previous manga/comic. I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if you put two of the most powerful Street Fighter characters together. *Hint* They're going to fight, this is Street Fighter after all.

Oro is the good equivalent of Gouki/Akuma and my little story will reflect that. The premise will be simple. Gen, dying of leukemia, continues to look for a challenge and finds one in Oro. Oro is a man so focused on his training that he has lost touch with the reasons why he started training in the first place. The meeting between the two will serve as the catalyst for Oro to take on a student.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to start this tale. Does Gen travel out into the deserted plains to find Oro? Is Oro strolling through town for some reason? Either way it should be a lot of fun to write. Lets hope the boys at Udon like it.
